Audius is a decentralized, community-owned, artist-controlled music-sharing platform designed to help up-and-coming artists publish their work and connect directly with fans. Audius is built on top of Ethereum and aims to disrupt the dominance of big streaming platforms like Spotify or SoundCloud. Audius bypasses the intermediaries– allowing creators and consumers to interact directly

The Audius project is led by the two co-founders, Roneil Rumburg and Forrest Browning. Roneil studied at Stanford University and co-founded a Bitcoin peer-to-peer payment company named Backslash. Forrest is a Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient and co-Founder of StacksWare, a company providing analytics for Fortune 500 companies
